It all began with a spark...
14-year-old Jamie (Radford) Nelson first gave her friend Melinda, a red-and-blonde home “dye” job… and her artistic side of painting hair was revealed…..
16-year-old Jamie created an “at home salon” in her basement for homecoming-bound high-school girls… and her entrepreneur side was born….
18-year-old Jamie took an evening stroll past a Pearl Street salon… saw the mirror reflecting a hairstylist engaged in her work and in her client’s joy…
That scene… etched on her mind…sparked a vision of her life and dreams…she saw the outline of a clear pathway to her desire to make you look and feel beautiful…which paved the way for the birth of Ember.
Every experience in Jamie’s life nurtured that glowing creative spark.. an Ember…until she and her team created the confidence-building, energizing salon and spa that graces Spruce Street today.
